Simulacrum Details/Changes Timeline
-Synthetic skin stage 1: Starts from the neck down. Normal skin comes off to reveal white painted metal, some gold joints/internal mechanisms, etc.
-Mechanized innards: No longer friends with human spine, STUNTRONIC SPINE is my friend now! Also, oil instead of blood, wiring instead of nerves, and some fancy mechanical joints for his limbs. All the bones in his body are shifting to metal/plastic/some mix of the two, including those in his face.
-Mechanized limbs stage 1: His arms, and one of his legs shifting into digitrade configuration. It's fine.
-Small monitor on his left arm: Measures his vital signs, tells time. Otherwise, useless!
-Increased endurance: He slammed one of his new metal hand into a wall and dented the wall. Don't worry about it!
-Vocal cords replaced by speaker: It's located in his chest, thank you. He has some reverb he wants to get fixed at some point. When in high emotional distress, he struggles with his voice glitching. This will remain a constant.
-Weakness to water: Yes, he's going to stick his hand into water immediately. Why? Because he's a jackass who wants to know his limits right this second.
-A nameplate. See the Q & A above for what that says!
May 7th-12th
-Mechanized limbs stage 2: Both legs are now in sort-of digitrade shape. He is VERY unhappy about this, struggles with balance/walking.
-Synthetic skin, stage 2: Any remaining normal flesh on his neck and face is starting to change. His neck will get a partial...coating, more or less, of gray rubber that looks like some kind of connector/collar thing, and any lingering flesh tone skin is starting to stiffen up. Think... kind of firmish thin foam or thickish latex? It's starting to go that direction.
-Gains his fun lil helmet, with his projection face starting to take shape over his normal one! Thanks for slapping it onto him in his sleep, o Fog God. The projection face is still rough around the edges, and reflects his emotional state by becoming distorted when angry or frustrated. Prone to the occasional glitch. There's a visible disconnect sometimes between his projected mouth and his physical one.
-Re: his speaker, it's still a little wonky now and then, but it's starting to even out the more he uses it. When in a higher emotional state, his voice may get stuck on some vowels.
May 13th to the 15th:
-Mechanized limbs overall: Quentin's adjusted to his limbs, and can walk around pretty alright with less struggle. He still has to watch his balance, though, with how his spine/torso moves now.
-The projection face is starting to become clearer, and emoting more. Have his eyes always been green-? Weird.
-Synthetic skin, stage 3: The skin-tone stuff on the top half of his neck and his overall face is starting to smooth out, and is still... kind of rubber/latexy. It's thinning to some degree. His physical lips are moving less.
Later Changes
-Synthetic skin stage 4 n beyond: Yeah, he's lost his hair. It's allllll projection now, literally! The skin replacement will start tearing/cracking/peeling in some places, revealing a gold color metal underneath the skin. His physical 'eyes' will also appear to blend in with his face and be just... non-existent, if that makes sense. His mouth will no longer move when he talks. There are no mechanisms underneath his skin for him to emote, anymore.
-The projection face will become more cohesive, and resemble his old face, albeit very... blue. Thanks, projection tech! It will be overlaid his now non-moving face. Whenever it glitches, it will look like a black band moving upwards over his blank mannequin-like face. The projection will emote for him, if his tone of voice doesn't serve as enough of a tip-off.
-A weakness to magnets! Get one of a decent enough size, or put just the right one in the right place, and watch him have some struggles!
-A need to feed on the energy of humans. They accomplish this by extending their nerve-wires into the bodies of humans and extracting their energy directly. This can involve making a "complete circuit," wherein a Simulacrum's electrical power is sent through their victim, electrocuting them to death.
-Subservience. Simulacra are prone to suggestion and have a hard time refusing orders from anyone. Tbh, this is mostly here to yank his chain a little, and give Quentin a rough time.
-Eventually, re: his speaker, Quentin will figure out how to purposefully use the reverb in it, instead of having it as a default. However, there will still be a bit of a staticky, crackling quality to his voice that he can't avoid. Out of dice, Mr. Simulacrum! He's going to need some help to get that squared away, though.
